Meet President & Lead Planner, Kate O'Donnell

I love the theatre. The lights. The costumes. The music. The way the actors feed off each other, working together to bring the audience into their world. The way a blank canvas can be transformed into magical places. 

I was blessed to work in theatre (and television) production for over 10 years before finding myself yearning to create events, productions in their own right, from the ground up. I took an apprenticeship with a well-known wedding planner, before starting my own business, Green Apple Weddings & Events, which has now been in business for 3 years.

Oh, all of those things I love about the theatre? I’m happy to say I find them every day as a wedding planner.

Meet Our Associate Planner, Anna Ly
Since walking down the aisle (as a flower girl!), Anna has since loved all things weddings from crafting tiny details to the idea of coordinating large-scale events. In college, she exercised her planning skills by directing large-scale career fairs. After graduating, Anna searched for a creative outlet outside of her day-to-day job that allowed her to express her design side as well as build her wedding background. After meeting Kate in November 2008, she joined Green Apple Weddings as a NY based planning assistant. She also currently co-owns a special events paper goods and gift company, thimble+twine.
